It’s been almost a year since our last changelog summary—and a lot has changed.
Over the past months, we’ve not only introduced new features, but also reworked key parts of the platform to improve reliability, scalability, and overall user experience. This phase has been crucial in preparing MICOO for the next wave of innovation already planned in our roadmap.
Our work is now moving toward four core pillars that will define the future of MICOO:
integrations, interoperability, verifiable credentials, and blockchain.
These are not just current priorities, but the foundation of what’s coming next.
Here’s what’s new.
Interoperability & Standards
Open Badges 2.0 Support
MICOO credentials are now fully compliant with the Open Badges 2.0 standard, including alignment with European frameworks.
This means greater interoperability and recognition for credentials issued by your organization.
ESCO Integration & Referencing
You can now:
- search and assign official ESCO skills directly within the platform
- attach references to ESCO or other frameworks within credentials
This significantly increases the transparency and value of your credentials.
User Experience & Onboarding
Simplified Onboarding
We’ve streamlined the registration process with clearer messaging and fewer steps.
The result: lower drop-off rates and more active users.
Improved Welcome Experience
A new multilingual onboarding flow with a welcome carousel helps users get started quickly and confidently.
Dynamic, Role-Based Navigation
The interface now adapts automatically based on user roles (manager, assessor, designer, learner), showing only what’s relevant—making navigation faster and more intuitive.
Invitation Experience Redesign
Users now see full credential details before accepting an invitation, including:
- activities
- skills
- issuing organization
This leads to a more informed and engaging experience.
Multilingual & Communication Enhancements
Fully Multilingual Platform
The entire MICOO ecosystem—public website, wallet, assessor app, and designer area—is now available in:
Italian, English, Spanish, French, Portuguese, and Arabic.
Each user automatically sees the interface in their preferred language.
Multilingual & Branded Email Notifications
All system emails (invites, credential issuance, status updates) now:
- use professional templates
- include your organization’s branding
- are automatically translated into the user’s language
Credential Management & Workflows
Issued Credentials Management
A new dedicated section allows you to view and manage all issued credentials, with a clear overview of their status.
Invite or Import Users Directly in Credentials

Bulk User Import (Excel & CSV)
Easily onboard large groups by importing users via Excel or CSV, with preview and validation before confirmation.
Signatory Role
A new “Signatory” role allows you to manage who is authorized to sign credentials within your organization.
Assessment & Evidence
Predefined Evidence Requirements
You can now define exactly what evidence is required for each activity.
Users will know what to upload—reducing errors and support requests.
Screen Recording as Evidence
Users can record their screen directly from the browser, both on desktop and mobile.
The video is automatically uploaded as evidence.
