Active European project

The applicant should represent a beneficiary or partner in an ongoing project funded through an eligible European programme.

Project-only use

The license is intended only for activities, participants and outputs that fall within the approved project's scope.

Named organisation and team

Access is assigned to the approved project partner and its authorised team; it cannot be transferred or resold.

Responsible data management

The project partner remains responsible for lawful data collection, participant information and appropriate project governance.

Defined duration

Access is linked to the project timeline. Any extension or post-project use will require a separate agreement.

Agreed service scope

Credential volumes, support, onboarding and any fair-use limits will be stated in the approved license offer.

Questions about MICOO OPEN EU.

Is MICOO OPEN EU really free?

The license is intended to have no license fee for approved use within an eligible European project. Final scope, limits and any optional services will be specified before activation.

Who can apply?

A representative of an organisation participating in an ongoing eligible European project can submit a request. We will verify the project and the applicant's role.

Can we use the license outside the project?

No. MICOO OPEN EU is designed for the approved project's activities and participants. Wider organisational or commercial use requires a separate MICOO license.

What happens after the project ends?

Credentials already issued remain valid and usable. They stay verifiable online and on the blockchain, and remain exportable and portable by their owners. Once the project has ended, it will no longer be possible to create new credentials within that project.

What is included?

The license includes a fully working MICOO platform, with the Design, Earn and Assess applications. You can create and issue credentials — from simple badges to fully compliant microcredentials.

Can several project partners use the same environment?

As a rule, each partner has its own MICOO account. Every partner in the project can receive a free account and issue their own credentials. Special setups can be evaluated as part of the application.
